If you are anywhere near enough to Wimbledon to get to the Clemens/Ericson farm at 10020 19th St. SE Wimbledon next Wednesday, June 14 at 8 a.m., there will be a few people gathered to discuss the legislative session which ended last month. Topics will cover transportation, water, PSC elevator regulation and a few other issues/controversies including whatever the growers present may wish to discuss. By that time we will also have some info on what interim studies will be on for the next 18 months. They did choose a road and bridges funding study which we had asked for as we are currently able to afford only around 30 percent of our depreciation. Legislative Director Scott Rising, Exec. Director Nancy Johnson and myself will be there to briefly recount what occurred to the best of our records and memory. The idea is to spend an hour or so and let you growers get on about your business, so if you have an interest or curiosity and schedule allows, please come. Nancy says coffee and donuts will be provided, which in itself is a good enough reason to get me on the road most days. Hope to see you there!
