701-566-9300The North Dakota Soybean Growers Association (NDSGA) held officer elections during its recent Board of Directors meeting. Re-elected NDSGA officers included President Jason Mewes of Colgate, N.D., and Secretary Luke Kuster of Grand Forks, N.D. New officers were Vice President Craig Olson, Colfax, N.D., and Treasurer Ryan Richard of Horace, N.D.
During the association’s annual meeting in February, the following producers were elected to serve on the board of directors: District 7, David Hartz of Cavalier, N.D., and District 8, Dennis Renner of Mandan, N.D.
During the reorganization meeting, Robert Runck, Jr. of Casselton, N.D., was re-appointed and Matt Swenson of Kindred, N.D., was appointed to at-large positions on the board. Aaron Brakke, Oxbow, N.D., was appointed as the industry representative on the board.
Olson represents District 1; Richard represents District 3; and Kuster represents District 6. Other directors are District 2, Kasey Lien of Milnor, N.D.; District 4, Eric Broten of Dazey, N.D.; and District 5, Brent Kohls, Mayville, N.D. Edwin Erickson, Jr. of Milnor, N.D., will continue to serve as the American Soybean Association representative to provide a voice for North Dakota soybean producers on national farm policy. Joe Ericson, Wimbledon, N.D., is the DuPont Young Leader on the board of directors.
The North Dakota Soybean Growers Association is a statewide, not-for-profit, member-driven organization. It conducts legislative activities in Bismarck, N.D., and Washington, D.C., to improve the sustainable prosperity of its members and the entire soybean industry. The North Dakota organization is one of more than 25 affiliated with the American Soybean Association.
