Soybean producers interested in the latest information about soybean production should plan to attend one of two free Soybean Success Seminar on Jan. 29. A technical agronomist from Asgrow and the Director of Research from the North Dakota Soybean Council (NDSC) will discuss the most current soybean-production information.
“We’ll be providing current, research-based information that can help producers with soybean production decisions for the 2014 growing season,” says Kendall Nichols, NDSC research director. Two important topics will be an update on soybean cyst nematodes and how to manage soybean diseases.
Evan Twedt, Asgrow technical agronomist, will provide the latest information about weed-resistance management in soybeans. NDSU Extension Agents Jackie Buckley and Tyler Kralicek will host the Bismarck seminar. NDSU Extension Agent Lindsey Novak will be the host the Jamestown seminar. The extension agents will provide local production and crop updates.
Stephanie Sinner, director of marketing for the N.D. Soybean Council, will present highlights about the programs funded by the soybean checkoff during the past year. Nancy Johnson, executive director of the North Dakota Soybean Growers Association will also outline the Association’s role in the soybean industry.
